The world of stand up paddle boarding (SUP) has blown up in recent years. Traditionally, this awesome new way to paddle has been done in the ocean, or on lakes and other bodies of flat water. More recently, a few eager pioneers have upped the ante by taking their SUPs into the river environment, and used them as a challenging alternative to kayaking anything from class I flat current, to the limits of class IV+ whitewater. Whether you're already an avid SUPer, or curious about getting into the sport, I can tell you that River SUPing is like nothing else you've ever experienced. It's an incredible new way to explore the river. It's an amazing core-workout, benefiting balance and agility. I've been pushing the limits of River SUP for years now, ever since I got my first chance to paddle one in 2011. Allow me to offer you or a small group a customized River SUP adventure catered to any level of experience or desired intensity. This can be instructional, just for fun, or anything in between. Hood River is an exceptional area, hosting numerous beautiful stretches of river, so please get in touch to discuss your needs. While timing remains totally flexible, we would typically all meet up in the morning (around 10am), get our gear together, and spend roughly 2-3 hours on the water.
