Paddling
Get a very personalized introduction to whitewater kayaking via the Upper Chattahoochee River! The class II section of river provides a very easy-going learning opportunity for those who aren't keen on swimming through class III rapids. If for some reason, you are keen on doing that, I suggest taking a look at my Chattooga River trip! The Upper Hooch is located near Cleveland, Georgia, nestled amidst the beginnings of the Blue Ridge Mountains. After a quick safety lesson, we'll put onto the river and begin learning how to catch eddies, ferry across swift current, and punch through hydraulics. If you don't know what any of that means, don't worry, you'll learn! I'm very much looking forward to introducing you to this wonderful, life-giving sport that I've come to love so much. All equipment is provided unless you prefer to bring your own, pending approval. No bike helmets! Haha. For winter dates, dry gear will be provided to keep your insulation working properly. Don't swim out of your kayak and you'll be nice and toasty!
